This really bothered me also. Actually it made me question everything LifeExtention offers. I love the LE MEGA Green Tea Extract as well as all the info I get from the website. I cannot understand why a company such as LE would not at least post a public answer to Consumerlab. Reguardless, I still buy LE Products… I will simply pay more attention and watch for anymore slip ups. This is way to important to me (my health) to trust without verifying.

Dear Thomasmollo,Thank you for your support. We did issue a whole article on the resveratrol incident in Feb 2008. You can read our full analysis and rebuttal by going to LEF’s website and searching for Living Longer, Healthier Lives with Resveratrol.Rest assured that we take great pride in honoring all our label claims, and vow to continue to serve only the best ingredients and formulations to our members.

I am a memeber of Life extensions and I love the quality and other services that they have but Reveratrol is the one thing I do not buy from them. The reason is Consumerlab found that they had only put 1/2 the claimed amount in there pills. Most companies follow up when CL finds something wrong with there product but I did not see that LEF had done that. If they retested with Consumer Lab maybe I would buy but for now I will buy from Jarrow or Country Life who passed with flying colors

We at Life Extension were quite disturbed that a claim has been made that one of our products may not have met our own quality-control standards. This bothered us because the resveratrol used in our products is sourced from an expensive European whole red grape extract and costs many times more than materials used in most commercial supplements.

The initial testing of the specific 20 mg product showed that it fully met label claim. When the same batch was sent to other labs, the testing results showed varying levels of resveratrol that were below label claim, but we believe that it was a result of different assay methods.Regardless, here at Life Extension, we ensured that all customers who purchased from the batch in question received a free replacement bottle. Thanks for your feedback and the opportunity to clarify the issue.
